A Mic & A Mission
Starting something new is difficult. Not because the task itself is difficult, but exposing oneself is. The willingness to be open and vulnerable while knowing there will be rejection and criticism is what is difficult. When I first felt the pull to step out and share biblical truth in a more public way, I didn’t have a master plan. However, what I did have was a burden to speak.
Jeremiah 20:9 says, “But if I say, 'I will not mention his word or speak anymore in his name,' his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot."
Thus, Sermonade was born. It gave my voice a place to land, to explore scripture and wrestle with the hard stuff. Putting it out there shows others that they are not alone in this thinking, too.
As my podcast continued growing, I found myself thinking more and more about how I could shape Sermonade into a ministry. This website is the beginning stages of that thought process. Here, I will always share biblical resources that I write for free because the gospel is free. I will also continue to share my journey with you all through this blog section, and my podcast will always be up to date.
Doing what we love takes work and trust in the One who makes this all possible. I am grateful to my Creator for giving me a voice, for giving me the resources to share, and for imparting on me the wisdom and guidance of the Holy Spirit. All I do is for His glory and I trust Him to take Sermonade where He pleases.
I truly hope you enjoy what you read and learn, and please, communicate with me as you please.
