About the Pourer…

Shalom, and welcome to the ministry of Sermonade! My name is Lauren Ware, and I am the host, founder, and CEO of this unofficial, official ministry. I am a born-again Christian since 2023, and have since embarked on a creative journey. It all started with a podcast, and now I’m here. I love the Lord Jesus and have dedicated my whole life to Him alone. With that has come the desire to share His love, Word, and truth of who He is to anyone and everyone.

Before being reborn, I lived a gay lifestyle for over 10 years. I was a slave to lust, to women, and I committed adultery. When the sin caught up, I could no longer hold it, and I began to be crushed by it. At this moment, I fell to my knees, crying, and told Jesus, “I can’t do this anymore. I do not want to live this way any longer. Please, if you just save me, I will only live for you.” Just like that, the Holy Spirit took over, and I immediately felt my burdens removed from me. Soon after, I was baptized.

Just a bit of educational background on me; I have a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice with a focus on Criminal Psychology, I attended Dallas Theological Seminary for one year, and took all the Old Testament classes (because my love is the OT!), and I am currently attending Graduate school online at Liberty University for a Masters in Clinical Mental Health to be an LPC.

I’ve always enjoyed writing and have told the LORD, “I just want to publish at least one book in my lifetime.” Thankfully, He has given me the idea, but I am not ready to share that yet! Along with this, I had started my own blog, which I will transfer to here, and I write sermons, homilies, and commentaries for my podcast as well as bible studies. All of which I will share here, too, as free resources for you! I am obsessed with the Jewish culture, and I am teaching myself Hebrew with aspirations to be fluent, so a lot of what I dispense will have Jewish flavoring.

With that being said, the purpose of Sermonade is to simply foster community. To reach people who are spiritually thirsty, emotionally weary, or quietly curious. Whether you’re in the church, outside of it, or somewhere in between, I want to create a space where faith and real life meet. I hope to offer spiritual encouragement for busy lives, without the pressure, pretense, or performance. I do not shy away from the tension and complexities of scripture, and I intend to walk through all of that with you!

Please, do not hesitate to reach out with any questions, comments, or concerns. I am also ready and willing to collaborate on any projects and eager to continue learning from others.
